Sometimes I want to stream without feeling like I have to talk, entertain or fill every quiet moment. Some days, I simply don't have the energy for that. Other days, I just want to play a game and enjoy some company without the pressure to perform.

That's where no-mic streams come in.

I was first introduced to no-mic streaming through Noctielle, and it made me realize that streaming doesn't always have to be loud, talkative or high-energy to be enjoyable. There is room for quieter spaces, too.

During a no-mic stream, my comm-unit is offline, but chat is still activated. You're welcome to say hello, lurk, co-work, play your own game or simply exist alongside the stream. SuperSweetBot is also available if you want to use it - just type !sweet to get started.

The important thing is that there's no expectation to interact. You don't need to keep the conversation going, announce your presence or explain why you're quiet.

I want my stream to be a place where neither the streamer nor the viewers have to perform in a particular way. Just a safe, low-pressure corner of the internet where we can hang out, do our own thing and enjoy the company.

Interaction is always welcome, but it's never required. 💚
